One day...

1.  Painting, creating, stamping, colours, designing, collage, creativity, mess.

2.  wispy clouds which turn into rain. living on the top floor of an apartment building gives a new perspective on the sky

3.  rain falls. heavy fat drops that soak everything for the shortest time and then the sun comes out again

4.   coffee machine here. good & black and regular.

5.   lunch is leek & lentil soup, just like i make at home, but I'm here. 

6.   my beloveds in the park

7.   a garden of wild flowers in this park, with a sprinkle of colour.

8.   the study of a bridge the vine is turning rusty with autumn cooling the leaves.

9.   a gorgeous wooden horse on a carousel at the local park. restored for our kids to enjoy.

10. two people enjoying their life. Heads tilted in unison. Smiling at the small child taking the picture. happy to be out in the evening, as a little family

You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

This is my gorgeous friend turning 40.

Me 41.

I thought i would feel different to the way i do.

i feel like time is running out. 

i have wasted so much time in doubt and struggle. 

worried and scared.

but i am getting that sense of living your life on my own terms.

cause thats all there is. 

i am a mess, broken, fragile, loud and frazzled.

i am also kind, friendly, creative, a dreamer, explorer, control freak and in love with my dog.

all of who i am does not always fit nicely together.

i am not an easy person to live with.

i am interesting and worthwhile.

this was my 40th year to SHINE.

there were moments of sparkle, bit of tarnish too.

i don't know whats in store for me in 2012, 

but it will be more of the same plus some extra adventures. 

the woman above and i have been friends since we were little children 

i love her and how we share our lives, the joys and challenges.

Botanic Gardens Rock!

rainbow coloured flowers 

i love our city's botanical gardens

my kids love 'em, hubby too.

there is always so much to discover.

with hubby's new canon we are investigating 

on the micro level & the macro settings.

it was a glorious day to be out 

skipping down the paths, 

twirling with the pollen,

flitting with the butterflies,

swooping like the birds,

splashing in the fountains,

wafting with the fragrances,

dancing in the wind.
