clarity, simplicity, then freedom....

'we may not be sure who we are becoming or where we are going but we are clear about what we dont like and who we dont want to become ... and thats the beginnning of understanding' thanks anon for your quote.

i'm getting good at knowing what i don't want. it seems a negative way of approaching life, and yet it works. by eliminating certain things, what's left is more manageable and what i desire comes into focus. we live in a time where choice is overwhelming. the details we have to pick from , to buy a sandwich is mind-boggling.... the simplicity that comes with less is very appealing. greater choices came from greater freedom, yet the vast choices are too much and we have to practice freeing ourselves and moving towards a simpler life.
weird, huh?
my brain hurts now.

A new word game....

my friend Teena & I are going to play a game
a word game (inspired a bit by this one)
a word will be chosen each day for reflection and focus
our hope is it will inspire us, energise us, excite us, connect us and push us beyond the limitations of our present
Teena has chosen:
CLARITY
WOW
how excting.....
new beginnings, my favourite.

this is what i have discovered about clarity
1. it is hard to get
2. we must see things as they are not as we want them to be
3. the heart sees more clearly than our minds
4. to find clarity one must be still
5. clarity is about vision but one must use all their senses(including 6th) for the real deal
6. comparisons help to be able to see all the options. this link was interesting
7. always extend yourself for a clearer view
9. music helps
like
clarity by john mayer
i can see clearly now by jimmy cliff
angel by sarah mclachlan
sober by p!nk
listen by beyonce

Wisdom is always helpful:

If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change. Buddha

We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are. Anais Nin

there is clarity in a sparkle, a twirl & you.
