Botanic Gardens Rock!

i love our city's botanical gardens

my kids love 'em, hubby too.

there is always so much to discover.

with hubby's new canon we are investigating 

on the micro level & the macro settings.

it was a glorious day to be out 

skipping down the paths, 

twirling with the pollen,

flitting with the butterflies,

swooping like the birds,

splashing in the fountains,

wafting with the fragrances,

dancing in the wind.

it rocks!

Some reflection....

do you ever feel like you are looking down, and what you can see is the endless sky above?

watching, alert, in the moment....

the light shines from above in a moment,

and there is joy....

Remember Japan...

When Japan cried out in pain, we didn't know what to do.

I have found with so many natural disasters occurring in such a short time i have been challenged to comfort my children, answer their questions and keep the media out.

i have loved finding small little things that have allowed us to

help, donate, talk about whats happening in the world,

share out feelings and worries, that have included the children.

Maki Hastings undertook her Help Japan project.

The kids were thrilled to receive these little birds.

They are reminders of hope in the face of great sadness.

The birds enable us to send prayers, love

and hope to the hearts of people we don't know.

How wonderfully healing, for us all.
